Giving Opportunity

Food Drive (SOCIAL MEDIA).png

Many of our neighbors are going to be struggling with food insecurity. Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes is requesting food donations to meet anticipated needs. Please pick up non-perishables to donate and we'll have a box in the back of the gathering space to receive them on Sundays.

Embodied Faith.png

God created our bodies "very good" (Genesis 1:31), honored our bodies by taking on human flesh in the person of Jesus, and will one day raise our bodies, healed and whole, to dwell with Christ forever. Yet we often treat our bodies as problems to be solved, threats to be managed, or objects of shame to be hidden.

Embodied faith invites us to see and relate to our bodies as God does—with honor, gentleness, patience, and grace. As author Hilary McBride writes, this means reclaiming "our body as a place that holds just as much of our 'self' of our 'me-ness' as our minds and thoughts do." Throughout this series, we'll explore what this looks like in our real bodies,

in the real world.

We are called to weave a tapestry of love and inclusion, following the way of Jesus for the healing of all creation.

Threads Church

Pastoral Hours

Pastoral sessions are available to members of the Threads community who would appreciate one-on-one time with Rebecca for connection, counsel, spiritual or theological questions, discernment, or prayer. They can also be available to those outside of Threads who would appreciate a chance to connect or collaborate with Rebecca. Sessions can be held in person or via phone or Zoom.

Sign up for a one-hour slot; you can use as much or as little as you need. If the times listed on this calendar do not work for you, contact Rebecca to inquire about an alternative time.
