Humankind is born of dust and graced with the very breath of God. Yet, like our first ancestors, we grasp at the mirage of power independent of God. The invitation of Lent is to journey with Jesus into the wilderness, where we can begin to see ourselves as we truly are in Christ: dust-humble creatures, and glory-bound beloveds of God. Through confession and lament, humility and self-denial, our 40-day Lenten journey is one of truth-telling: we are “dustier” than we like to admit, but Jesus joins us right at the ground of our unvarnished humility and breathes us into new life.
We are called to weave a tapestry of love and inclusion, following the way of Jesus for the healing of all creation.
Threads Church
Pastoral Hours
Pastoral sessions are available to members of the Threads community who would appreciate one-on-one time with Rebecca for connection, counsel, spiritual or theological questions, discernment, or prayer. They can also be available to those outside of Threads who would appreciate a chance to connect or collaborate with Rebecca. Sessions can be held in person or via phone or Zoom.
