As a church family, we are in a season of transition, a time to listen to God and each other as we consider the future of Threads Church. As we emerge from a long season of dis-orientation, we need to make space for the Holy Spirit to gift us with a new sense of where God is at work and what He is calling us to be and do as Jesus’ ongoing presence in the world.
We believe that this vision is being given to us as a community, not just to a leader or group of leaders. Over the next 7 weeks, we plan to take time to listen together. We will be considering what we know of what God expects or desires of His people, as we see this in the Bible. We will ask how we’ve lived out these aspects of the church in the past (or failed to). We will brainstorm, dream and pray about how we might embody these things in the season that God is leading us into. And we will consider what the cost will be, what it will take for us to re-orient our life together to pursue this new vision in the months and years to come.
