Mission and Vision

Our Mission – why we exist…

We exist to help a questioning world become passionate “love God, love others” Christ followers.

Our Vision – how we will get there…

Threads is a network of incarnational communities that are apprenticing kingdom people.  We collaborate to worship and for sharing resources to be a blessing to our city, the region and our world.

We seek to reproduce sites and churches to expand this blessing in kingdom ways.

Each site or church will seek to work in being the Good News with our actions, even as we share the Good News in our conversations. We will do this through tackling the big issues of brokenness of our day, that are right in our backyard.

We believe and attempt to live out the following in regards to our vision:

[list type=unordered extra=]
[list_item]Functioning with a lean infrastructure allows for the maximum resources to be used for leadership development & missional projects, such as community development and starting new churches.[/list_item]
[list_item]Keeping worship simple and consistent.  Our Worship Gatherings serve as a place of connection that holds our people together on mission.[/list_item]
[list_item]Loving and including all – the jaded, de-churched, skeptic and lost in every and all places, from any and all backgrounds.[/list_item]
[list_item]Offering environments for God to change people from their natural tendencies toward consumerism, materialism, and individualism.[/list_item]
[list_item]Committing to developing leaders allowing us to develop and release our people to innovate and create ministry wherever they are.[/list_item]
[list_item]Intentionally encouraging and challenging the individual development of every person to be more like Jesus.[/list_item]
[list_item]Seeking to live as sent people, in the context of community, in order to establish an environment where the kingdom becomes tangible. We do this by integrating five Shared Practices in our lives.[/list_item]

If you’re not sure that Threads is where you should be, don’t worry, there are a lot of other really good churches around Kalamazoo to check out that might be more your style.
