Kids’ Community

Threads Kids’ Community exists to partner with parents and caregivers in showing kids the love of Jesus in the context of connection and community. Our desire is that we would help kids grow in their relationship with Jesus, and in their understanding of God’s amazing story and their place in it—both through engaging, fun, and Christ-centered gathering times on Sundays, and also by equipping parents to grow more fully into their role as their children’s primary spiritual influencers.

Our top priority in Kids’ Community is for kids to encounter God and experience His work in their lives. We are 100% committed to fostering a safe space where kids can grow unhindered in their relationship with God and others. All of our volunteers are well-known to us, have undergone a thorough, national background check, and have been trained in best practices in terms of child safety and proper interaction. We offer the following Kids’ Community spaces during the 10am Sunday Worship Gathering:

Nursery: our little ones (infant – young 3s) experience Christ’s love from caring volunteers in a safe, clean, and fun environment where they can play and grow.

Pre-K – Kindergarten (our “Orange Group”): this group gets to experience stories, songs, memory verses, activities and games that are all carefully geared to their developmental stage, with the goal that they would each hear about and experience God’s personal love for them in a way that reaches their hearts, at their level. Our Orange Group gathering time is lively, fun, creative, and upbeat. Our Orange group teachers take 4-week-long rotations so these kiddos can experience the stability of being with one teacher for a month at a time.

1st – 5th Grades (our “Green Group”): this group participates in activities, games, stories, and songs that are specifically designed to appeal to elementary-age kiddos. This age group starts to engage in some wonderfully deep discussion and understanding of the gospel of Christ and the ways it is amazingly good news in our day-to-day lives. We also provide month-long teacher consistency for this age group in our efforts to build real community and connection.
