Foundations VI

From Series: "FOUNDATIONS - What are you standing on?"
Foundations are critical. If you don’t get the foundation right, then even the most beautiful, functional or extravagant buildings will come crashing down. So Jesus encourages us to make sure that we are building on the only lasting foundation - hearing and obeying his teaching (Matthew 7:24-27). So what does Jesus teach us about God and about our lives? The Apostle’s Creed is widely recognized as a unifying confession of the historic Christian faith, faithfully expressing the core truths found in the Bible. When we speak the Apostle’s Creed, we join millions of believers throughout the centuries and around the world who have found in these few words a solid foundation for both what we believe and how we live. As we take a closer look at this foundational statement, we will also have the chance to examine what we’re building our lives upon and whether or not it will withstand the storms that will certainly come.
