Teaching Series: STAND – January 2 – February 20, 2022
Paul had a special relationship with the church of Ephesus. He spent two years there, where God performed many miraculous signs. Beginning with about 12 people, Paul’s ministry in Ephesus expanded until “all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord” (Acts 19:10). His influence was so strong that it challenged the economic and religious life of the city, resulting in a great riot that forced him to leave the city.
Towards the end of his life, writing from prison in Rome, Paul sent a letter to the church at Ephesus, reminding them who they are and what God has done and is doing. He calls the Ephesian believers (and us today) to stand firm in their faith against resistance from within and without.
During this teaching series, we will hear and discuss Paul’s letter, discovering how it applies to our lives still today as we seek to stand “strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” (Eph. 6:10).
